Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)
Sagging skin and puffy fat deposits on your upper or lower eyelids may give you tired, old or sad appearance. Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty) can be performed on the upper and/or lower eyelid.
If your brow has fallen, We may also recommend Brow Lift Surgery, which will further help rejuvenate your face.
The procedure for Upper Eyelid Surgery involves making an incision along the natural eyelid creases in order to disguise scars. Excess skin is removed and, if needed, the muscle is tightened slightly to lift the eye area. For Lower Eyelid Surgery, an incision is made just below the lower lash line, and excess skin and fat is removed. Dissolvable stitches or surgical tape is used to close the wound.
After Eyelid Surgery, your eyes may be covered with gauze and you may experience swelling, bruising and dry eyes, which should subside after a week or so. The final results of your Eyelid Surgery will become apparent after several weeks, leaving you with a more alert and refreshed appearance.
We will tailor your Eyelift Surgery according to your specific needs. For example, some patients need the under-eye fat pockets removed, while for others, removing them would result in a hollowed-out look, so a different approach is needed.
Eyelid Surgery can also be combined with a facelift or Brow Lift Surgery, as well as Laser Resurfacing, Medical-grade Peels, Wrinkle Relaxer Injections, Wrinkle Filler Injections (Dermal Fillers), to improve lines in the lid area.
Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty) can also do wonders for men. Eyelid Surgery can provide a well-rested and refreshed appearance. Eyelid surgery may be performed along with a Facelift for a more dramatic change.
